Newly renovated with very nice modern bathroom. New carpets. Very good value for money the night I was there. Helpful and obliging staff (thank you). The Launceston rooms are set behind the more expensive Mercure, and are double storied. If you want to avoid carrying bags up stairs to the Launceston rooms, ask for a ground floor room. Upstairs has some city views. Renovations still going on but they did not disrupt my stay at all.

Nothing at all it was not the hotel that we booked. Hotel Launceston has been converted into an office block. After spending 1.5 hours trying to find the hotel having seen the original hotel Launceston in the centre of town we had to enquire with the locals to find where we were to stay.

The property although under some renovations at the moment is conveniently positioned a 5 minute walk from the Launceston Mall. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room had been very well renovated. On-site parking was also very convenient.
